Getting from Tamarindo to Playa Hermosa near Santa Teresa felt like a full travel day, so I was glad we booked ahead. I was traveling with my brother, and we had sandy bags, snacks, and one surfboard cover that was awkward to carry. The morning started hot in Tamarindo, then the ride moved through dry Guanacaste roads before reaching the ferry. That part made the journey feel lighter because everyone could stretch, buy a drink, and watch the water for a while. After the crossing, the scenery changed and the roads became rougher as we got closer to the Nicoya Peninsula. I sometimes get motion sickness, so I appreciated the steady pace and the stop before the final stretch. This transportation in Costa Rica was not fancy, but it got us to Blue Mist Hotel and Beach Club feeling tired, relieved, and ready for the beach.

My girlfriend and I chose this shared ride because we did not want to pay for a private car or deal with changing buses. We were staying in Tamarindo and heading to Blue Mist Hotel and Beach Club with two backpacks, a small suitcase, and very little patience after a late night out. The van picked up a few other travelers first, then we settled in for the long journey. For shuttle service Costa Rica, it was comfortable enough, social, and much easier than planning the route ourselves.

I booked the shared shuttle Costa Rica from Tamarindo to Blue Mist Hotel and Beach Club with one suitcase and a beach backpack. The pickup was early, but everything was clear. The ferry crossing was a nice break from sitting, especially with the heat. The roads closer to Santa Teresa and Playa Hermosa got bumpy, but the ride felt organized and calm.
