Taxi Boat from Santa Teresa to Quepos

This was one of the most memorable travel days during my trip. I arranged transportation in Costa Rica with the taxi boat option because I wanted something faster and more scenic. I was traveling with a medium suitcase and still felt a bit tired after several days of surfing in Santa Teresa. The journey started on bumpy roads, then we reached the boat transfer point. The ride across the water was incredible—open ocean views, fresh air, and a completely different perspective of the coastline. After crossing, the drive continued through greener areas toward Quepos. I sometimes get uneasy on long travel days, but breaking it into parts made it feel much easier and more enjoyable.

Traveling with my partner and two suitcases, I wasn’t sure how the transfers would go, but everything was well organized. The first part of the journey included some rough road sections leaving Santa Teresa, then we reached the boat departure point. The weather was warm, but the ocean breeze made the crossing much more comfortable. After arriving, another vehicle continued the trip to Quepos. The whole experience felt smooth and efficient.
